    +1 for jumping ship

Quitting a terrible company wont hurt your career. The "stick it out for a year and you can go anywhere" saying is not meant to be taken as "be a slave for a year and don't ask questions"

Sounds like you're due a month off , already. They're probably dreading that.

I'd try to stick around until June,at your 1 year anniversary. A WHOLE lot more doors will open up for you at that time. (1 year at Western or any of the other "driver churning mega's) should equate to 2 years in a good companies eyes. Shows your perseverance. Lmao. As for your current dilemma of being out since Thanksgiving, by my math they owe you 10 days off as of today. Tell your dispatcher he has exactly 1 week to get you home. If not, you're going to seek legal recourse. Lie. tell him your brother in law is a lawyer. If you have a problem with lying, look at it this way. They lie to you every time you ask for home time and they chug smoke up your arse. .Make sure you make the request over the Qualcomm,so you have hard evidence. They're taking full advantage of you because you're obviously a good worker, and they're hard to find for the mega carriers. Good luck bud, and remember that until you call their bluff, they're going to continue to keep you out there forever.

When I first got my CDL through CR England, they did the same thing by routing me everywhere except into the Northeast... and I was told by some veteran drivers that some of the bigger outfits tend to do this in an attempt to keep newbie drivers from going home and then deciding to leave driving and just ditch-the-truck which gets expensive for companies to go and retrieve. I can't prove that's true, but it does kind of make sense although it really sucks to be away from home for so long. I dealt with it for a year at England and then moved on to a much better opportunity. Good luck to you!

BTW, you might also want to contact the lawyers at http://swartz-legal.com/flsa-fairlaborstandarsact/western-express-class-action-lawsuit/ as they recently won a class action lawsuit against CR England that I joined... and as you'll see they're also involved with a case representing drivers from your current company and others as well.
