Ok so cascadia Detroit diesel
Driving down road
Check engine light comes on
Yellow warning light comes on
Truck starts shaking when accelerater is pushed
Won't go over 55 mph on flat ground
Just my rpm and speedometer gages do this weird floating thing where needle just goes all over the place
Oil press good
Everything else solid except for my 2 gages and loss of power
Truck is not governed
Feels like those 6.o ford diesels when injectors go out
But I can still idle truck although it is rough
Sitting here now waiting at a repair shop till morning any ideas¥
Brokedown again thoughts????

Shudder when it is mashed upon sounds like injectors or injector harness.
That's just a wild hairy (had the same thing happen in a 2012 at 440k ) . . . guess.Grijon and TigerShark Thank this. -
And I'm hoping you don't own this truck, or you have a good sized maintenance account.
Ours was a company truck, after 2 sets of injectors and 3 harnesses, we bid it farewell in Phoenix.
I checked on it a few months later to find it had been a shop princess ever after.Grijon, Lepton1, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this. -
Had the same thing happen in my old truck, 2011 Volvo D13. Same shudder, same floaty needle thingy.
It was just one injector though, so the engine wasn't totally gutless.Grijon, TigerShark and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Electrical voltage off? How's charging system also probably injectors or harness
-
No is never own a freightshaker company truck

Started truck this morning for mechanic check engine and all faults where gone he is looking at it now says could be a def issue or injector.....frigging truck. Seriously I can take a picture and video of what's going on and then pull it into a shop and it just goes back to normal........

look for a shop rag in the fuel tank,it will stay on the bottom when truck is off, it will get sucked up on the fuel line when running, blocking fuel causing mayhem.i was a wrench before i was a driver, and some people will bleed you dry with this trick.(KISS) keep it simple stupid .truck was ok b4 look for the simple repair.thats my motto.
TigerShark and Lepton1 Thank this. -
If the injectors went bad it's the fault of their parents.
TigerShark Thanks this.
