it's a dark dock..inside a building

I hate backing into dark buildings like that. ... took a door off a trailer that way once.
-
I have to do this many times and hate it. I have to back into their building so their crane can get the load off the bed, and usually it's sunny out blinding me and dark inside.
Lucky most of the time there's someone guiding me but I still don't trust them.White_Knuckle_Newbie Thanks this. -
Had an instructor at school show us how to back into a dark dock by placing a flashlight on the driver's side where the trailer would bump the dock.
Nice little tidbit for us Rooks.Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
while they exist it wasn't my intention to bring up such a disliked subject. I don't see dark wholes everyday, when I do I look for some type of guide or make one. I thought the reflective tape was a nice touch on this. it was the guide.

Some of the better inside docks will have lighted boundary strips on each side instead of reflective tape. Those are pretty nice.
