I live in Cheyenne. I "miss" them a few times. Our main office in Casper is just 1/4 north of the port there, they have told us they know where we are, and will come get us if they want to see us. I stop in or roll over their scale once a month just to say hi. Then drive right past them for weeks on end. But we are local. I wouldn't try that if you were out of state. Most Wyoming HP are laid back.

You only need to pass through a port of entry once in Wyoming. I have entered at Evanston and went past the Laramie port on US-287 without stopping since going through Evanston.
LoneCowboy and JC1971 Thank this. -

If they wanted you, they would have chased you down. You're fine

east of 25 checks you out before entering Colorado. I had a delivery 20 miles south on that road.

I was on US 35 in Ohio. They set up in the rest area. The guy in front of me missed it. Before I had reached the scale, a cruiser left to get him. I think the time he spent in inspection cost a lot more than the 2 minutes I spent in the scale.

Don't really get poe. I don't usually go out west but I get a green light on my prepass so I just roll by. Not sure if I need to stop in?
-
