Question.....if I'm starting a trip and I hook a trailer and pre trip truck and trailer should I mark 15 minutes or 30 for both? Drop and hook is just 15, but for a pre trip and hook what is it?

Big Don, tucker, harlycharly55 and 3 others Thank this. -
Log however long it takes.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
No that's what I'm asking. In my log I just put a pre trip and hook trl # on same line for 15?
-
That's how I do it.Grijon, Dominick253 and TigerShark Thank this.

That's what I do, never had it questioned by DOT during an inspection
-
Log 15 mins pti if it takes longer Log 30 either way your fine
-
Just use a comma,
"pti , hook"
As far as how long to log , that's up to your company -
Won't matter until you have a side is the road problem or your trailer falls off. Then they'll look at a fifteen minute inspection as insufficient.
