The pay is .10/mile to start. But you are paid for your partner's and your own miles. That is about $500/week base. Add the milage bonus and early delivery bonus , it becomes $750+/wk.
We also get .02/mile raise every 2 months for the first 6 month.
There are still some older trucks, but they are being replaced.SheepDog Thanks this. -
$750 a week to be trapped in a truck 24 hours a day with another man, no thank you, not even close to worth it.Tb0n3 Thanks this.

And even though they hire felons, they cannot get enough people to sign on or stick around.
If you are on parol, you need to keep a job to stay out. You would think that turnover at a place like Carolina Cargo would be low because of that. I guess that jail cell was more comfortable then sharing a sleeper at Carolina Cargo with another felon.SheepDog Thanks this. -
This thread is 6 years old and that guy was commenting on it 2 years ago. He hasn't been on here since Dec 2014.
I'm afraid we will be left in suspense. -
Your just plain wrong speaking from one registrant to another.
anyone with a misdemeaner can't go into Canada and I for one have no interest in going to Canada.
There are companies that will hire you besides CC.
plus any driver that is competent and professional with CC will get raises.
Take a look at Senn Freight lines in Newberry SC cause they will hire you no problem and train you for flatbed. after training you get your own truck and 40 cents a mile. -
It seems Canada has changed their ways. I'm not sure yet but I think I can get in now with a dui. That's 23 years old. The only way they'll find it though is if they pull up my lifetime mvr. It's expunged.
As for vacating felonies. Those can t be expunged. I'm not sure a lawyer and judge can do anything. Least here in utah. Might be different with other states.
Expungements are easy around here. No lawyer or court date needed. -
Why should company hire a ex-felon? Its not their problem you've committed the crime.
-
I can tell you for a fact that Canada lets felons cross the border. Trucking or not.
-
I hire felons because there are some really good workers who have sc rewed up. Taking a chance on someone can be rewarding. Felons have spent time locked up and a truck cab is like a small jail cell.striker, cnsper, Streetroddreams and 3 others Thank this.
