I know some companies require it but why do the drivers that aren't required do it. I also drove with my park lights on but didn't want to be constantly replacing headlight bulbs.

Because
1)LEDs don't burn out.
2) The Cascadia dash is lit up,head lights on or not, with no indicator on the dash if lamps are on or not. It's easier to leave 'em on than to forget to turn 'em on and get a ticket.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
In some cascadia, headlights automatically come on. Day or not

Yeah I know that but speaking on the ones that don't as in older company truck or O/O truck.

The best example that I can think of comes from the great state of Alaska. The Seward highway runs from Anchorage to Seward. One year they had 17 deaths on that road in vehicles. The next year they made it mandatory that you have your head lights on when traveling that highway. In that year they had 1 death on that road. It was enough to convince me.
LED's DO burn out. I replace many tail lights and marker lights because they burn out.Dominick253, KD5AXG, Swedish Chef and 8 others Thank this. -
Lights on for safety be more visible with all the distracted drivers all around us, I noticed a difference on county highways especially that have cross traffic.
