Electric leaf blower

I've been charging my 18 volt ryobi leaf blower battery with the inverter on my truck. The battery lasted a year and then took a ####.

 

Well it is a good reason to get a good inverter if you want to use a charger. These chargers are not made for inverter use, they use a switching power supply that likes clean power. Good designed switchers will work with the dirtiest power you can imagine but those cheap ones can't.

By the way, Dewalt makes 12 volt chargers that they do not list in their catalogues, I've got two of them. Milwaukee also has them too.

and yes for their 18 and 24 volt batteries.

 

How long do you stay out for? I'd just leave home with two freshly charged batteries. That Dewalt blower will blow out several trailers on a single charge. Your standby battery will stay juiced for quite sometime.

 

The battery in my blower is good for one trailer clean out and then time to recharge.

 

What's wrong with a corded leaf blower? Can't find an outlet?

 

If you have a produce vent on the front of the van you can use a 75' extension cord plugged in to your inverter and a blower picked up at a local pawn shop. Obviously it is a little more involved than rechargeable battery type system. If you have ever stuffed 630 bales of hay in a wagon it takes a while to get it out hence the need for a corded option. Yes, they were direct customers.

 

Sorry, I pull the same trailer all the time, and return to my whse where I have an outlet to blow out my debris.

 

Realistically speaking. Outlets are very hard to come by.
