It's Illinois so no big surprise here. I got pulled over for going 72 in 70 a couple of weeks ago. No ticket but trooper said he wanted to do a level-3 inspection.

Did he give you a violation for going 1-5 over?

Yep, about 10 or so years ago I was going south on the Eden's right were it merges with the 290 during morning rush hour and could not get over to the two right lanes and right there on the shoulder there are two State Police sitting there, one came after me and pulled me over, asked why I was not in the two right lanes and told him I could not get over because of traffic, the cop said he knew that and told me that all he was going to do was an inspection and no ticket, told me that the Feds told the state of Illinois to keep there Federal Highway money coming in that they had to do an x amount of truck inspections a year, and that amount was up there, I don't recall but it was around 7,000 a year.

Will the OP return? Will the trolls continue to derail the thread? HOW did OP single handedly turn a 1 truck operation to a 10 truck goldmine?

FIND OUT ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF.... DRAGONBALL Z!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya, FYI....No more varience in speed ticket ability..1 over is enough

The varience was for thier radar gun, and the calibration of...not our speedos...
They're radar guns are all perfect and exact now

My dad (retired cop) schooled me on beating tickets in the 80's 90's by challenging the officers daily calibration methods...they had big list of crap to do...(cars defroster off, lightbar off, proper tuning fork tuned to set radar at 50 mph etc etc...Its was a bunch of stuff..I did beat tickets with his info!! LOL

Pre radar, they used stopwatches, you had a 10 mph varience then

    Them days gone tho......snif snif

They dont even need cops anymore, you speed, truck shuts off, ticket already deducted out of your account etc etc

    Dominick253 Thanks this.
