    There should be a tiny reset button in back of the GPS. May need a needle or a very thing point to reset.
    Or you can go manually on each tab and delete all the data. I did that over the weekend. My friend has his miles for past 2 years

    Blacking out of the screen is a power issue. Usually the power cord coming out the socket slightly.

    BTW.. the Life Time Maps are not set under a User name/Password. This is handled thru the Dock and all they have to do is download the Dock from RM (FREE) and change the name/E-mail that unit belongs too...

    no secret squirrel stuff required.
