Going to take a week and think it over. I'm kind of torn because I like the smaller out and back companies out of my home state. But sometimes I miss the leisurely drive around the country and nice trucks with bigger companies. Been thinking about lease purchase just to try it out but...if I do I won't tell anyone lol!

Quitting can be the most soul refreshing thing you can do! I generally quit at least once a quarter. Difference now is that I found a carrier that knows me well enough to ignore me and send the next load to the truck.

After my workers comp shoulder issue is done I will be putting in a notice, cashing in vacation and dealing with the items that were in my truck when they dumped it out onto pallets. By policy they should have called me and gave me a chance to get it out or since I am one armed basically watch while they do it. They just up and did it on their own. The good news is I don't have to clean out anything now.

I know this feeling. Been at home for almost 2 weeks now since I quit Western Express(wife wanted me to stay home so she could celebrate my birthday with me-birthday sex is the greatest-LMMFAO). I head back out on Sunday morning via Greyhound on my way to Colonial Heights,VA so I can start orientation at Marten.

By federal law you have a right to 5 days off work per year of service
.... This is in the Constitution, this vacation doesn't have to be a paid vacation but even if they pay you it's a 100% tax write off for the company same as any safety bonuses or such
.... They all like to act as tho they have shared the blessings with the drivers when really it's our government reimbursing 100% of the cost of things like this
