My guess is, as long as no one complained, they just looked the other way. Now that someone complained, they have to enforce it.

That's what happened to me years ago. My solution was to sell my house and buy where I could park.

You will need to pay to park, this will never work out in your favor.

I've seen a bobtail parked in my apartment complex parking lot a couple of times. I'll have to read my lease to see if that's allowed lol.

I've got 40 acres of wide open parking potential. As long as it doesn't rain the truck will never get towed ;)

Seems like paying to park will be cheaper by far than getting it out of the impound lot...

just move the truck every 71 hours. Like 5 feet

The letter of the law is unattended for more than 72 hours. I moved it (and they should chalk it to know), therefore the clock restarts. That's like once every 3 days. They don't like it, they can write their city council and change the law.

it works both ways you know.

I used to park mine in front of the house all the time. Then one day a California Highway patrolman knocked on the door telling me someone called 9-11 emergency that they almost hit my truck. Moved it to the driveway no problems other than it covers half the sidewalk which I'm sure the neighbors will be calling 9-11 again when they walk into my truck while looking at their phone.

I would have told the officer that if they "almost" hit my truck, they must have "almost" been paying attention while driving. Next time, it may not be a truck, and it might not be "almost". There are kids in this neighborhood, and I'd rather NOT see them get hit. That caller needs to slow down and pay attention. Good day.

Then close the door and get back to what you were doing before you were so rudely interrupted.

Just pay, it's a tax deduction so you'll get a discount. Here in Albuquerque (high vandalism area) Freightliner charges $1,250/month for parking, one day - thirty one days all samey samey truck, trailer, or both.

May have to do what a friend of mine does, he leaves his truck about 12-15 miles from his house in a fenced lot. I think he said it was 75.00 a month.
