What? You mean replacing a tire on site at 2am on Saturday costs more than replacing it at 11am on Friday at the shop 6 miles from the shipper on that dedicated account? Say it ain't so!

Got it. Basically being a company driver means not taking care of equipment, being late, being rude to customers, and being a company driver means you are automatically a lower order driver than an owner operator.
That's exactlly what I thought you meant

    You believe or you know?
If what you say about the complainers is true, then that would cast a different light on things. Of course,it would have more credibility for some readers if that defense came from management.
So,F2F, did the complainers borrow money which was not repaid?
Did the complainers lease to other companies without notice, and still continue to use your fuel card?
Did the complainers display poor customer service to customers?
If so,then that would help determine who is being more truthful

I didn't mean it like that. I re-read my original post and it didn't come across as I had intended. Of course not every company driver fits this category but you have to admit there are a lot of bad apples. About 70% at my last company job were idiots. So I do apologize if I offended you and the good drivers out there. I'm in a bad mood after last night-- entering a customer restroom provided for drivers and some slob smeared his crap all over the wall. No wonder most places don't let us use facilities anymore.

I can't say in each specific case but yes those things are truthful and have happened quite a few times.

F2F is what it is and when I speak to someone that is thinking of leasing on I tell them the truth about what to expect. It is not for everybody.

I work almost exclusively with 1 customer and if a "bad apple" screws up that relationship on me, I will not be happy.

Since a lot of these "complainers" are anonymous I am not sure F2F can say these issues happened with these people. A couple of things I know but I do not know if they are these people.
There was a guy leased on who left without telling ANYONE and using a F2F trailer and F2F fuel card, leased on to another carrier and ran for about two weeks before F2F flagged the fuel card use with no loads.
There were a couple (maybe more) partners that very early in the lease had major breakdowns and asked F2F to advance for the repairs. Then left still owing a ton of money.
I know of another issue that hurt F2F badly through no fault of their own that has not been discussed here so I do not feel free to discuss but it set the company back pretty seriously.
My issue is the personal attacks. Bill has owned up to the financial difficulties but anyone who knows Bill and Lauren know there has been no malicious intent and contrary to the dialog here they are living VERY modestly. Partners/friends are pretty incensed by the personal attacks.

My carrier only posts up to 50% of the load money onto the fuel card, that's it do or die. They will only load the money on the card once they see the bill of lading proving the driver picked up the load. No more loans for breakdowns either. If you do break down or in my case my hood and bumper were destroyed in a parking lot, the load will be re-powered and the carrier will go into the fuel card and draw back all of the advance, which I found to be very disconcerting only because I wasn't expecting it. I agree with it, just gimme a heads up. Times are very tough and they are not going to let owner ops drag them to the bottom with their sneaky little tricks.

Edit- If you do break down they will give you about 12 hours to get your ride back up and running otherwise you have a choice to get a rental truck or they will repower the load and take all the revenue back.
