Naw, I checked when I got the paperwork to know if I might have any suprises. Pallet weight is listed on the bills. Quoted and bol gross weight is similar, but actual weight is at least 3k more, so I'll just give them a heads up.

Apparently, you are also arrogant and think you are also gods gift to the trucking industry! Haha stupid employees doing as their employer asks

I fail to see how that makes me arrogant. I am an employee simply following instructions from his employer that is not illegal, unethical, nor immoral. If you were placed in a position of authority over me by my employer and I said that I didn't care, now that would be arrogance. As a matter of fact, you thinking that you know more about how this company is to be run than those who are running the day to day operations of a multi-million dollar company IS arrogance. Doing what I am told....that hardly makes me have an inflated sense of worth to the trucking industry. Again, you may want to look in the mirror. And you, Princess, are the one who got butt hurt over me not caring about your opinion regarding a notification that the company instructed me to make, when you do not work here. In fact, the only reason that you are in here is because you are a fan boy of a disgruntled employee who will unfortunately probably be disgruntled no matter what and no matter where he goes.

It is this part of his post that sounded arrogant to me.

I may have gotten the wrong impression from that statement, but it sounds arrogant as hell.

Radioshark, in bulk hauling, weight does make a difference in the rates, but in general freight hauling not usually unless it's a major difference. Like the multi pickup's on Tuesday Morning loads at Poly. If one of the stops adds a lot more than was booked with the broker, their portion of the freight charges should be higher.

The only reason I would believe dispatch would be concerned about a difference in weights is if the shipper miscounted the freight or somehow accidentally included extra product that would cause either a delay at the receiver, or refused freight not accepted that has to be dealt with causing a scheduling issue with the following load or charges for added travel distance and stops to unload the extra somewhere which would need to included in the freight bill.

it was that final line that ended ''if you don't like it, I don't care" that sounded arrogant, sweetie, not the rest of the post. As far as being a 'fan boy', I am not a 'fan', I am a friend. A very loyal friend, so the more you make statements like 'Princess', 'fan boy' and "if you don't like it, I don't care" only leads credence to his statements about this thread being a Magnum love-fest not an informational tool for others to gain information. Or yet, maybe the more that statements like that are made, the more perspective employees see the real way things are there, and will give a moment of pause before they sign up.

It is my 20+ years out here hauling general freight that lead me to make the statement. It happens all the time in general freight hauling, it wasn't an attempt to show how to run a business.

Everyone brags about how they enjoy the freedom and lack of micromanagement over there, but it sounds to me like their micromanagement is just more subtle and subdued if you have to report a few thousand pound difference or how a driver has to figure a way how to park juuuust close enough to a place so a driver can cheat the logbook clock. And snackbar told me that at one time Magnum was going to put driver facing camera's in the trucks, and that your safety guy was in favor of this. But it was the attitude of the salesman, not the potential effect of the driver's feeling of privacy invasion that lead them not to do it. Ahhhhhhh freedom!!!!!!

Dude, don't waste your time arguing with Magnum drivers in general. They do micromanage more subtly than others, but it's like a cult here. You have to submit to their will and get into lock-step with the other drivers or you'll be an outcast. It simply isn't worth your time or elevated b.p. to argue with them.

I like how people who don't even work here, think they know how it is when they take the word from someone, who just can't make it work anywhere he goes.

All these 20 years + experienced people can't get enough of coming on here and talking about us but continually say how they are done. So funny to me.

This is hilarious coming from the guy that bad mouths everything he touches!

One day you even bad mouthed your own blood.

I've never met you. I don't hate you. But I'm glad I dont know you!

Your negativity will cause you to fail, and WE "The Cult," would appreciate if you would keep your negativity to yourself. Negativity is a poison. It has poisoned you. We will not let it poison us!
