Advice? Don't get into it unless you are ready to work, sweat and get exhausted. Not only are you responsible for load securement (which is a big responsibility) but tarping is better than the gym (in the past year, I've lost 40 pounds and gone from a 46 to 38 pants size).

So here was my day today - should be easy to tell if open deck work is for you ....
I spent 9 hours in the sun working with a wrecker and a completely dead machine - no steering, brakes , hyd, or power- had to chain and unchain it 3 times. It leaked hydraulic fluid everywhere including on every inch of exposed skin. The I drove 200 miles with it.
I will get up and do it again tomorrow
You either are an open deck guy or not. You will know.
Good luck and remember to park on level ground or the doors won't slam right.skootertrashr6, passingthru69, truckdad and 1 other person Thank this. -

If the Novco doesn't work out, look at Knife River in Sauk Rapids. Gravel trucks and cement mixers, they usually hire in the spring.
