When I used to build pressure washers, our 18 with a cat pump would do 4000 with big GPM. It would cut right through a 2x4!!!

    tsavory and blairandgretchen Thank this.

I don't know really. I just shipped them out. Since the 18's were so expensive, we'd test them out back before shipping. I know you could run two wands off one, and while it could do 4000 psi, pressure washing is all about the GPM.

    J/Cope79 and blairandgretchen Thank this.

I used to do some pressure washing with my dad and we had a 4k psi 4 GPM and the point of having the power is to reach high places without a ladder

    Dominick253 Thanks this.

I had a small gas powered power washer. I had like green mold on my deck so I used that on it. I was like WOW, it's really cleaning it up. When I stopped for a second I realized I was drilling the crap out of the wood with huge ruts. I had to replace a few sections.

    Dominick253 and Grijon Thank this.

Two lifetimes ago, we used a high pressure water setup to remove jet blast resistant joint sealer on concrete slabs. First pass was with a plow setup on a small tractor. Then water/sand to get the remnants off the sides.

I don't know where my Dad got a hold of this thing, but it was an old Ford tractor frame cutout mounted on a skid. 4 cyl diesel driving a big cat pump. If memory serves, I think it was good for around 4,000 psi at 10 gph. Also had a sand injection nozzle with ceramic inserts. The inserts would last about a day. We'd use about a truckload of bagged sand a week when the weather would hold out. That rig would cut through concrete like butter.

Water and pressure is incredible. The guy that installed my stand by generator also built switch boards for machines that cut steel with water.

    RedForeman Thanks this.

Just hours, basically. It had many hours on it when I bought it for $3500 - the whole unit. Found out that motor was discontinued back in 2011 or so.

    Dominick253 and Grijon Thank this.
