I guess it is unusual to have two broker loads in a row though it doesn't bother me if they're good loads. I worked for a company once that was all broker loads but was almost all coast to coast . I like running for days at a time and making my own schedule and not being bothered. But I'm sure it's better for the company not paying out commission to a broker. But the driver gets paid the same.

I remember just to get a raise and upgrade to one of their detroits there was all kinds of hoops to go through. Absolutely HATED the 55 mph speed limit they had on their trucks after the first couple of months lol

I'd love to see that too, but I'm not holding me breathe. From what I've learned with the split up its something that's been going on long before I even got started driving. For right now I'm just kind of sticking it out until my next six month mark and then I'll decide to stay where I'm at or head down the street. First thing is to get this CDL/medical certification mess straightened out.

A lot of broker loads now. I'm on one now,Jacksonville,FL , Memphis,TN and final in Cheyenne,WY. As long as the miles are there oh well but my loads coming out of the house are always broker loads down here.xlsdraw Thanks this.

Didn't know they hired down here.

Yeah now I'm on a 3 stopper 700 mile customer load. Maybe then I'll get another long broker load.

Better than sitting I guess, got my license fixed yesterday morning and found out dispatch here forgot I delivered my load already. currently looking at future options. I think if I'd known then what would be going on last July I would've "gone red" last year. Even so I think this year is a bad for freight all around.

Things did seem to slow down when the weather started to warm up. it's starting to pick back up some now, or our dispatchers have just gotten better at locating broker freight. I talk mostly about my good experiences but as you have seen plenty of folk get upset about one thing or another here.
On this load I'm on, it was scheduled to pick up before I was empty so I knew I was going to be a work in and it took 6 hours. The customer is not going to pay detention because we were late and they generally don't pay detention here unless the customer does. But there was enough time on it to make the deliveries and going to CA I knew I was probably getting set up for a good load so I didn't make an issue out of it. And my next load is going to Dallas which is not coastal but I like that run. But being sent on a load where I'm going to be a work in I really don't like. But it doesn't happen too often. -
Something is definitely going on though and not for the good. The biggest week I have had in the last 7 weeks is 2700.Trying to stay positive but its getting rough.

Anybody running out of northern Vermont across upper New York on their typical routing back west, be advised you will encounter a detour near Chateaugay to go around a bridge on US-11that will be repaired. Schedule detour to begin after July 4 weekend and last through September. Planned route will add 18 miles across small county roads. Trucks (53-102's) will be authorized as far as I can tell.
US Route 11 IN New York Detour Story
I noticed the heads-up signage today coming out of St Albans headed to River Falls, WI.
