Pulled over in New Mexico. Officer called me to the back of the truck. Check my license and registration said he saw me with my phone in my hand. After checking out my license and registration told me he was going to give me a verbal warning. Gave me back my paperwork, I thanked him got back in the truck and left. 5 days later comma I get a call from safety. Now I'm unemployed. Seems they sent a vehicle inspection report into the system and put the violation on the report. I didn't even know he did an inspection, he never got farther than 10 feet from his vehicle. What can I do?
Illegal roadside inspection?

Are you sure you dont work for a company that has in cab cameras? Usually if they inspect you, you have to sign it and you get a copy of it?
Dominick253, bigkev1115 and BUMBACLADWAR Thank this. -
Hard to fight a warning. Should of ask for the ticket, then get a lawyer

Tent your windows. EVERYONE is guilty of using a cell phone, even the law them self's.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Tint the window? That's just going to bring more attention and troubleaddrenjunky, Dominick253, flood and 4 others Thank this.

Curious how this one pans out
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Sounds to me like you were writing that comment but the original post using voice text, which is what I'm using right now. Just to prove a point, and case it doesn't get it the way I want it too. Put the phone down and drive. I'm parked, I'm doing this to prove a point. What tipped me off was the word, comma.
Dominick253, Blackshack46, str8t10 and 5 others Thank this. -
Sounds to me you were caught by your own famous driver-faced company approved "im watching you" camera.
Why do I assume that?
Law enforcement CANNOT put into their system any kind of 'inspection' without your acknowledgement or signature.
Tell us the REAL reason you were fired......No More lying to us on this site young man.Dominick253, x1Heavy, Mudguppy and 10 others Thank this. -
Yeah, I'm calling BS on this one.
Every single time I've had an inspection, including inspections where no violations were found, I've had to sign off for it. Especially if I was dealing with a New Mexico Dept. of Public Safety - Motor Transportation Police (Motor Trans.) officer.
Now, what agency stopped you and where did it happen?Dominick253, x1Heavy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
We don't really know what the driver agreed to, but I'm betting that there is a bit in there that said something about violations for cellphones. And of course the fact that a citation was not given is immaterial. There are no warning on the CSA.. so for the next three years, the driver will have this on his PSP and the company will have it on their CSA.. insurance companies being what they are.. the company may have lost a ton of money...
firemedic2816 Thanks this.
