I've been getting a lot of compliments on here lately and I wanted to take a minute to thank all of you who have helped me this past year.

I was literally thrown to the wolves with this company with zero securement training and extremely little flatbed experience. All I had was the securement manual, YouTube, and ttr with ttr being the most helpful.

I've made plenty of mistakes over the last year. Most I've shared and some I haven't but I've learned from everyone of them and none turned out very badly.

Most of you in the flatbed section have spent a lot of time on here explaining things and not stopping until I and others have a full and correct understanding. Your time and patience is very appreciated as I know how little time there is out here and I've had my fair share of nights that I crawled back into the bunk and passed out for my full 10.

I tell everyone I can about this site and how helpful it's been. I can never repay yall for all the help and encouragement but I can pay it forward. One of our new drivers has my number and knows he can call me anytime day or night. He has a lot more driving experience then me but hasn't pulled a skateboard in well over a decade.

Thank you all for keeping the brotherhood alive.

It's all you man. You worked it out. Other drivers here may have explained things but you were still the one that had to execute the plan. Admitting your lack of knowledge in the beginning was a big step that most do not take.

Want to pay anyone back? Pass the knowledge on or pay it forward. We are in it for ourselves but we are also in it together.

Thank you for taking the time to learn and do things properly.

Cnspr is right, you can be told till the cows come home but the way to learn is to do. Sounds like you got it going on now, good job!

TTR and the other Drivers here is a great resource to us newbies. Like you said, we can't pay it back but we can pay it forward.

Congrats on the first years under your belt.
And here's to many, many more safe years.

The only way to gain experience is through experience. Time in the seat. The more you do something, in theory,.. the better you should be at it.

You will only be as successful as the amount of effort you put into it. Thats how trucking has always been for me. Absorb as much as you can, and never pass an opportunity to learn something. Even a crotchety hard headed guy like me can learn something new.

You can be or do anything you want if you try hard enough. No one is going to do it for you. So the fact that you are where you are is because you put yourself there. You worked hard for it,.. nothing wrong with looking back and being proud of your own accomplishments.

Where you end up and how far you are willing to go in this business is entirely up to you as well.

Just remember to roll your pant legs up sometimes, you don't want to step in it. It can get a little deep at times.
