I've had it happen to me more than once. A car comes around and cuts in front of you and Jams on the brakes for no good reason than to cause trouble.
Lots of you tube videos on it.
Any story's of it happening to you and how it turned out

I tell you one.
Coming cross bronx westbound prior to the Throgs Neck Interchange in the projects area inside the I-95 GWB approaches all my lonesome in the rain at 70. Center lane.
VW rabbit with 4 half breeds eyeballing me on the left slowly passing with 4 sets of eyes searching out mine. Whoo talk about heebie jeebies. I started running battle think in my head getting ready for something.
They hopped into my center lane and then stopped in the rain.
Well... I found out right then and there with that ABS in my Century 2001 with a few thousand miles on it loaded... she viberated quite a bit, responded to my steering right at 25 mph horsed the whole thing past the car on the right, stomped on the hammer and got out of there. POS Rabbit just sat there. I hope they got run over by a herd of trucks not far behind me.
I hope not. Insurance scam was the game back then.
Safety and shop both queried me on satcom asking if I was ok because the truck recorded a most extreme stops and manuvering to them with the data collected from it. I was told that I did well, but they don't think you could stop a 40 tonner from 70 to 25 that fast with ABS... had to.
No dash cam.
I intend to buy a dash cam this summer. There is too much going on out there now.FerrissWheel, Ougigoug, NavigatorWife and 5 others Thank this. -
Well, who goes 70 in the rain in the 50 speed zone.TequilaSunrise, Badmon, spyder7723 and 5 others Thank this.

Lots of trucks blow through there at that speed at night but it sure isn't smart.

Gallup, NM.
Pickup truck speeding to cut in front at one lane merge to construction. I refused to allow him to.
Once in the construction, he runs THROUGH the barrels, into the median, around us, in front of us and SLAMS on the anchors.
Well - he showed us. I got out the dog - FIDO. Forget It Drive On.
Had a trooper been present I think he'd be enjoying his afternoon commute on a bicycle.FerrissWheel, NavigatorWife, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this. -
In an accident like this with no video, how can you prove it was their reckless driving?
NavigatorWife and bzinger Thank this. -
I always fantasize about stepping on the accelerator instead of the brake when some buttwipe does that to me. And then keep on stepping on the accelerator--take them for a very long ride.

Clearly, you never driven through nyc on a daily basisBadmon, NavigatorWife and Ruthless Thank this.

70 was minimum you could slow and hold the ramps in some of those pre 1994 roadway layouts, There was actually a toll gate there prior to connecticut eastbound. Night time was when you ran the GWB and most everyone hit the upper level. But when the Upper got filled up and stopped, everyone stormed the lower level with the radio wailing and carrying on with every single trooper anywhere near the Crossbronx. You did 70 to 90 at times through there to make goodamn sure the bums, parasites thieves and so forth did not hop onto you and steal your ####. And they will.
I don't know if you been that way back then, but for me it was home because that was what I was taught running into Hunts. It was going to combat. Cars got hit, trucks crashed and people sometimes died every night they would do a roll call on the rush hour radio in the morning with a few dozen lost souls in the 5 main hospitals in the NYC area gathered up from the present night's festivities. Stabbings, shootings, mentals, suicide attempts and so on.
Ive hit cars up there. But ###### if they did not stop for ####, neither did I.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
someone who's not too bright?spyder7723, bzinger and HalpinUout Thank this.
