The trailers have slack adjusters but I couldn't see anythign otu of the ordinary as I crawled under there. But then again I couldn't tell if the issue was comign from the tractor or the trailer. I tried the air lines because there could have been water in there and I dont know how often they get drained. The trailers are light, even loaded but I didn't notice it until about halfway through the day I think.

Do anyone knows if schneider accepts peolpe with violent felonies.I already have my cdl license which I went through a driving school to obtain.I was convicted of aggravated assualt and armed robbery 11 years ago at the age of 14.I have been turned down by over 30 companies because of that.I admit I made a mistake in life, but no one seems to believe that.I was with a relative when he did this, but I didnt report it because I was scared, and I recieved the same punishment.I am just trying to get my life back on track, can anyone please give me some advice or give me some companies that except recent grads with a background like mines.Thank you in advance.

Also, you may look into expungement since it's been over 10 years.

Try some of the smaller companies. Someone will surely hire you. Goodluck!

get that felony expunged off your record. If you are honest Swift will hire you -if you are dishonest they will kick you to the curb.

Driving a truck only 40 hrs a week, 4-5 days a week, home every night will not pay the bills starting out, but since they aren't paying much anyway it's not a bad idea to get over the first year and then make some money.

You can get a good GPS for $100 + the antennae. Garmin 330,340 550 etc.

No Schneider system (48 state) drivers do just fine. They lure these hard working ignorant new drivers into these worthless dedicated accounts under the 'guise of frequent or more hometime. But Schneider isn't going to let you go home for free, you'll take a pay cut. You'll also run illegal because new drivers who don't know any better will do it thinking they actually will look good for a boss that really doesn't care to know your name.

Stay away from Schneider dedicated. Schneider is a great company, I did four years over there, but their dedicated is low paying ILLEGAL slave work.

    AfterShock Thanks this.

Well it is good to hear from someone who worked there more than 6months or 1yr.. From day one of my driving I refused to run illegal, and till this day won't do it..

Some dedicated runs are good and some are crap. The same goes for companies. -as a driver you need to know the difference.

I honestly make 1000 + 700 every two weeks dedicated. I believe that is fair. System
    Makes 2cpm more though.
