All the truck stops have those sales posted on the bathroom wall.

Really, who does a mail in rebate anymore?

If they really wanted to give you a break on the price, then they would give it to you.
    Just saying...

They're making people work for their savings. Sad, but true. They look like the good guys. Hey, if the buyer is to lazy to mail it in, hey it's not OUR fault.

For the most part I believe those rebates are handled by the manufacturer and not the retailer. And even then it's usually such a petty amount it's hardly worth the hassle of mailing the appropriate information and waiting 6 weeks for a check.

I shake my head every time I see a driver purchasing CBs, GPSs, headsets, etc at a chain truck stop. Unless you have a large sum of rewards points saved up the same items can be bought online for way cheaper...

Mail in rebates mean absolutely nothing to me.Any product I purchase is because I want that product not because of some rebate that take weeks to get your discount. They could give you the discount at the checkout rather then mail in some paper maybe have a questioneer you need to fill out and you have to furnish the stamp and envelope.More of a hassle then what its worth.

I'm an American and I refuse to stamp and address an envelope for 25 dollars.

We just bought all new appliances for our new house and got 750 coming in the mail. So I guess some folks still do.

    I like easy money.

Any rebate worth more than 5 bucks is worth my 12 seconds of time invested.

I seldom pay attention to mail-in rebates.
But the $50 rebate on the latest XM radio that I bought was worth the time, and it could be done on line.

If the rebate comes on a prepaid Visa Debt card try finding what you want elsewhere. Some companies take the rebate for themselves and pass the savings on to you. Trying to spend every last penny on one of those cards is a pita.
