Just a bit of good Humor, LoL. Sure miss that Ice Cream.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
....maybe the idiots were doing THIS~>!?~? JUST wow. Dang. A trucker, without a purpose. -
I just have a different philosophy about that. I see a guy set up to back in next to me, if he doesn't appear to have it slam dunked, boom I'm getting out and directing him. I think it is rude to hit the horn, people may be trying to sleep. The trainer waited til it was an imminent collision to sound the horn, I'm talking 2 more inches and a hit. Trainer should have seen that 12 feet out and gotten her lazy butt out of the seat to direct that driver plus it is a good training tool for her trainee. Instead the lesson was 'be a lazy steering wheel holder who blows'.

Wow if that is how it is played, I couldn't do it. That looks annoying and frustrating. Blow up pokemen and they come back over and over?
Plus I heard the pokeman app is datamining millions of users for info possibly taking over or co-opting their bank accounts and personal social midia accounts etc ,anything that is username and password, pokeman can get into maybe not now ,but definitely has access to anytime they want.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
USUALLY they will get out and look...
...at the damage.
In the case of that video he didn't GOAL at ALL. The trucker that got hit should have gone all Usain Bolt and stopped that driver instead of doing the hand wringing.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
I agree you shouldn't use your air horn. Have consideration for sleeping drivers around you, ESPECIALLY if you are IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND SEE THE FUBAR UNFOLDING.
That being, USE THE #### AIR HORN IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE HIT OR HAVE BEEN HIT. This happened to me, although not nearly the damage in the video posted a few spots above. In that incident I was having lunch sitting on the bunk with the tray rolled out. Watched as a driver continued to get close with PLENTY of room to correct his action. By the time glancing impact happened I quickly jumped into the driver's seat and wailed on the air horn. He stopped and we exchanged information. Fortunately damage was less than $1000. The driver in that video sustained more than $10K in damages and if he's an owner operator he will likely loose at least a week's income. If he's under load he has to arrange for repower and doesn't get paid for that load.
Wail on the air horn rather than take an expensive hit. My brother got hit about as bad as in that video. Total cost was over $24K.scottied67 Thanks this. -
A WEL driver touched his trailer to my driver mirror bending it forward and rocking my boat one early morning. I laid on the horn to get him to stop. He did then got all pissy with me because his pretrip had already started and he needed to roll asap while i was putting on my boots.
I had had an oil change the night before and had only backed under my trailer, not hooked up the lines or raised the landing gear so I wasn't going anywhere for a few minutes at least.
Before I was to move I wanted to just take 2 pictures, one from the front and one from the back for CYA purposes. Well this WEL driver gets right up in my face calling me all sorts of feminine curse words. OK, 9-1-1.
He continues to call me every name i nthe book, right in my face, I turned my left shoulder right into his chest as he kept circling me I kept my shoulder right in the center of his chest talking to 9-1-1. This chick on 9-1-1 was all nonchalant until I said the magic words, "sir, can you step back one arm's length away from me?" boom in seconds a highway patrol, sheriff and local PD show up surrounding our trucks. WEL driver barracaded himself inside his truck and locked the doors.
Meanwhile I got my truck hooked up and backed off a little and the HP asks if I'm worried about a little scuff mark on my mirror. Nope, not worried about that at all, it will buff right out. So now here comes WEL driver wanting to shake my hand and be all buddy buddy all of a sudden now he realizes he's not going to jail and does not have to file a crash report with his company although I think he did anyway because he hung around for an extra 2 hours before leaving.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Mine got hit by Decker in February around midnight. Yes I laid on the air horn and woke everyone up. Decker's trailer had hooked my hood and bumper which was damage enough but he panicked and started grabbing gears and tried to run off and away. This truck stop has only one way in one way out so all the truckers who woke up and got out, first they were pissed off about being woke up but you talk about a lynching posse when they found out the guy hit and run, well you just had to be there lol. We managed to blockade the guy from leaving. His excuse was he was looking for a place to park first before taking care of the crash because it was midnight and his time was running out and he was exhausted. I made him park by the fuel island and the cops were already inbound. Cop refused to write the guy up on hit and run charges though.
Shop charges for repairs were over $15,000 and still waiting for another $10k in truck rental reimbursement. I was paid for the load up to that point through the carrier I was leased to, Los Angeles to Detroit load, they paid my up to Albuquerque where my trailer was repowered so I didn't lose all that revenue.

Where do you guys find all this "drama"?
In 39 years of driving, I haven't been involved with anything a select few here have.
I just drive my truck and deliver the loads.
No drama.tinytim, cnsper, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this.
