There is a plus sign on mine that allows you to log off the truck, if you didn't update to avoid the safe mode perhaps this option is not available.

 

Probably what it is. I found a way to do it thru my phone and a driver center page on the peoplenet system internet page. Figured out how to go off duty, then exit the vehicle. Oh, and download my last 7 in case Mr DOT wants to see 'em

I like e-logs when they work, but when things fail...ugggggggh.

 

My peoplenet #### the bed a few months ago. I ran paper for a couple weeks till I could get to Fargo. In the 'system' I was logged in and driving the entire 2 weeks. Lol
I told Bryce. He can't edit it unless you make a duty change. So I had to wait till I got it fixed to log off and get Bryce to edit it.
When I tried to log off on the app, it would say 'You need to be On Duty to go Off Duty. If I tried to go On Duty it would say I needed to go Off Duty before I can go On Duty lol
That app is worthless now anyways....

My wireless keyboard was the best $8 I ever spent...

 

That's all my app would do as well. The problem is that the app doesn't update. It still showed in driving duty 30 minutes after I shut down and the truck screen went to on-duty. And I guess the glass is putting enough pressure on the digitizer that even my wireless keyboard won't do anything. I just use the app for load info and seeing if that message that just arrived is important or weekly fluff since I have a hard time understanding what the lady in the touch screen is saying.
