Especially the way swift, the other mega's , and a lot of the brokerage giants drive rates down and screw the good smaller companies.

It is about time these megas are held accountable for their conning the American workers....In any other industry they would be in prisons...I guess mega carriers are much like certain politicians in DC who think they are above the law. There always comes a day of reckoning.

 

I wish it would stop, but this is America, where money will solve 99.9999% of problems, and that .0001% of the time someone just gets murdered. Shout out to the clinton problem solving special!

 

Ill be honest. I would trade the fee for a precedent that made trucking companies pay hub miles from now on. If you think about it HHG miles are illegal in that they are requiring you to do work uncompensated. WE would all be better off if we were paid for the ALL of the work we do instead of roughly 90%. I know it is an issue that makes many very jaded on trucking.

 

I think the union would work better, as how there's too many people who don't think this way, or don't speak English, or are just retarded

A lot of independents are a little high on themselves; they figure the screwing over of drivers that the mega-crap companies do does not affect them. They never get to realizing that the Mega's set the price in the market place. All that cheep freight they complain about is getting cheaper because some Mega will take the load knowing full well the can recoup their costs by beating their driver out of a fair wage.

 

Sounds like they admit it "The company blamed their software for miscalculating drivers’ miles."

 

If companies paid hub miles and allowed 10% out of route miles, we'd all drive around to get close to that 10%
