How would you check for edge protection under a tarp?

I wouldn't mind the shout on the cb. I was in my car yesterday and saw a Paul truck going the opposite way with his back flap down covering his lights and plate. I went to grab my cb but it wasn't there. He probably didn't have it on anyways.

Lift bottom edge and look up with a flashlight.

Had a tarp do that to me once in PA, north of Harrisburg. Good thing a driver tolde instead of a state trooper.

Darned flaps get slippery at exactly the wrong time!

It would scare you poopless how drivers secure in Hawaii. No 4" straps. I will get some photos. Saw a guy going down the road with a light standard with NO securement at all. Lots of debris falling, my brother loves writing tickets on the usual suspects.

Securement fail I remember once turning on CA58, this is before it was a freeway, anyway I see the flatbed at the stopsign, he lets out clutch and an empty wire spool just rolled off the back of his trailer and started rolling in the road lol. Honked air horn at him and he stopped, I don't even think he would have known it fell off otherwise.

Ahhh some people just don't give a sqaut and then there's people with pride and a sence of professionalism .
As for me I learn with every load and sure don't know it all but I eyeball every load with one thing in mind ..WILL IT MOVE ?
So far nothing has moved .

Truck rolled hard twice in the mediun landing on its wheels ..that pipe never moved that I could tell .
