My delivery today called for 40' of 2" hose and a pump. At the last second I grabbed another 20' just in case. I'm glad I did, I would of been 18' short. I also had to create Frankenstein's coupling monster. I had to use 3 3-2 reducers, 2 2-2 females and I 3-3 male. I do love tanking.![]()

Why is your tractor parked where you could have the trailer? Pray tell? Is it because there is not enough room to put trailer next to open building?

I thought that was because he needed his pump, dont they work like a fire truck? The pto drivin pump is on the truck, and has to be between the tank and the destination?

I'm not that good at backing up.

Honestly, I only had 60' of hose and I needed 40' just to get to the tank inside the building. I would of needed another 40' to get from the tank to my pump, ( it's behind my pass side fuel tank and runs off the pto from the trans) so by having the truck next to the tank, I only needed 20'. -
Basically yes..... If I had more hose I could of ran it to the truck without unhooking.

I have done something similar haullng fuel, another driver was at a bulk plant that required a pump off, his hydraulic pto went down and would not pump, they sent me out there, I pulled up beside his truck and we ran the hose from his tank to my pump, then my pump to the customer tank.
So you chemical guys aren't required to secure the cam lock ears?
