I worked there 20 yrs and have friends that still drive there.Their pay plan is legit. All my friends work on percentage. On mileage there is a built in ceiling because you can only run X miles in one week. There is no ceiling on percentage.

I've got two years experience in flatbed, but I've been home recovering from surgery for four months. The doc has signed off on returning to work, and I'm really ready to get back on the road. I applied to BTC yesterday and they sound like a good flatbed outfit.
I'm pretty sure I've seen their trucks at some steel places in Texas. What lanes do they run out of western Iowa? Is there a lot of Northeast, or can I stay away from that running out of the Midwest? -
Really depends on how often you want to get home. If you run home each week you won't go much faster than a one day run. They primarily run east of i35, they don't go into new York City often but if you go they give you an extra 100 to do so. Out of Iowa you'll go into ssab in Muscatine and Alcoa up in bettendorph. Lots out of there go in all directions so it's hard to say.Bud A. Thanks this.

Thanks for the info. I've always liked to stay out at least two or three weeks at a time, though just before all this happened I was thinking I wanted to get home every weekend. I was running a regional with System and could have gotten home every weekend, but that also meant doing somewhere between five and nine short loads a week. No thanks.
Is the Alcoa in Bettendorf as bad as the SAPA places I've been to in Cressona and Delphi? Also, I live in Sioux City, so wondering if they get loads out of Sioux City Foundry or Sabre from here, or if it would be more likely to be steel from Nucor in Norfolk or sheetrock out of Fort Dodge.
Does BTC run 48' or 53' trailers? -
They run 48ft trailers, all new trucks 2016 and 17s are autos. Alcoa is what it is, lots of bs rules to contend with for little moneyBud A. Thanks this.
