I've backed a couple of flatbeds, but pulled only vans. Flatbeds are harder since you don't have a dry van's vertical sides to use as reference.
Also, when you are straight in a door, looking in driver-side mirror it looks like you are pushed nose right. Looking out pass. mirror & comparing to line on ground will look much closer trailer side & line are parallel. Rookies & many vets make driver-side parallel with line on ground & that leaves trailer nose-left.
Don't worry, it doesn't get easier....
