Yeah. Collision warning system freaked out about a dead skunk in the road when going up Monteagle and slammed the brakes on me. camer as came on and caught the chaos of me having to drop to 5th gear bc the motor and tranny in my truck is pretty bad at pulling uphill.

Here's a fun one: delivered at Stevenson AL yesterday, then drop and hook in Scottsboro. Trailer I hooked to has a flat. I call it in and start warning Dispatch that this load is going to be late bc my 14 is going to run out. Takes mechanic 2.5 hrs to show up and repair tire.
Nothing happens
I stop in Murfreesboro to fuel. Tell Dispatch there's 0% chance of me getting to Indy to deliver tonight.
Nothing happens.
Make it to the loves north of Louisville with 30 minutes left on my 14. Tell night Dispatch where I am if they want to get it there tonight. My ETA would be 10am today.
Nothing happens.
I show up at 930. Warehouse is closed until Monday. I tell Dispatch. I'm told I shouldn't have accepted the load.
Deja vu from my KLLM days - Dispatch playing hot potato with the problem and I get to fall on the sword. Awesome. -
Don't accept a load of you don't have the hours
-
Welcome to Crete.
Only 2.5 hours for a breakdown. Must have been a light day for them. I have sat on hold over an hour, then take another 2 or 3 hours for someone to get around to showing up, then not be able to fix the thing because it was a Maxxfarce engine...then wait 2 or 3 hours for the hook.
And the reason that dispatch didn't respond is because this is them:
Wait until it's college football season...you'll think the company has closed for the weekend.drvrtech77 and tucker Thank this. -
A load from Indiana to Missouri and I got to stop at my favorite place
-
Did they give any reason ...for giving you a camera. ..aren't you a new hire??
-
That's the thing - I had the hours when I accepted the load got to the shipper and sat for 3 hours getting the tire fixed which delayed me into rush hour going through Nashville. Would have made it easily if the tire wasn't left with a flat
-
Left indy with this load and breakdown tells me to stop and get a trailer inspection. WHEN CAN I GET A LOAD THAT ISN'T DELAYED BY SONETHING?!?!
-
Did you get a message like this?
If so just ignore it, it's computer generated.
I rarely get trailers inspected, never at a truck stop as that cuts in my beer drinking time, and I dread stopping at our terminals, too many foreigners and dumb #####.truckerman75103 Thanks this. -
It'll happen...............eventually....
