Dynasys look like a pretty solid APU

It has to last a million miles.... Tried and true has always worked for me.

 

@Wooly Rhino just installed a new Dynasy on his truck.

 

Last company I drove for had Dynasys on 1 model year of their trucks. Many of these APUs went to the shop so often, they just stopped fixing them and ignored the idle time on the truck as long as the mpg stayed above 5. After that experience, I wouldn't take one if they gave it to me. What you save on purchase price you spend on repair cost and down time. For me, it's TK or idle.

 

Not really sure, I was never assigned a truck with one, but would hear the complaints from many many drivers when we were sitting in the drivers lounge waiting for our loads

 

Was told by a Dynasys dealer that the SL model with the automotive a/c is having a/c charging issues. They aren't happy with the way Dynasys is handling it.

 

Dude, thermo king or carrier, let other suckers be beta testers.

 

With my truck running, I can tell when my reefer comes on. With my truck and reefer running, I can tell when my Dynasys comes on. If I know that I'm going to run it, I either pull straight in or park where I'll be by myself. They're good but they're loud.
