You run to both coasts, lanes are irregular. they say their average run is 1100 I would say thatsomething a good average. I've had 3000 mile multi drops and 200 mile time wastes

What is the one thing a driver has to get use to going from dry van to reefer?

I've never run dry van so I couldn't give u a experienced comparison. They don't have many drop and hooks but it's a real treat when u get to. Lots of unpaid detention at frey I'm gonna make a conservative estimate at <1% of detention actually paid. They tell you at orientation that if they collect detention that u get it. I would like to know what percentage of collected detention actually makes it to the driver I don't like to make assumptions but I'll bet it's less than 10% passed on to driver. It a point of contention with me.

I realized that don't answer your question.lol. with reefer expect lots of detention, keeping up with the temperature isn't that big of deal, probably just getting used to the reefer starting and stopping while ur trying to sleep. And filling up an extra fuel tank.

Actually my first DM as the wife and corider of a driver there and she said once she became a DM she learned that they actually do pass the detention through to the driver, they just can't collect detention most of the time. I never got held up that much though. Wal-Mart was my worst and that will never change. They are going to use that full 4 hours every time and you might as well count on it. I ran 3500 miles in a week multiple times while I was there so detention couldn't have been to bad. I also don't think i ever pulled a loss of less than 500 miles while i was there either.

I've been in the touch with the recruiter at Freymiller. I should be starting in October. They are lacking trainers right now. They have 10-speed manual transmissions. No automatics. Btw I used to live in Portales a long time ago and Clovis. Heard it's changed quite a bit.

Freymiller is on my short list once I get my license. I, am sure there are others who would appreciate updates. Thank you.

Thanks for the info. Clovis has definitely changed. I have only been here 3 years and can't wait to move out of this area. Too flat and not enough trees for this southern boy.

If you've spoken to a recruiter, then you're misinformed.
Yes. Freymiller has automatic transmission. They don't have 10 speed manuals, they're 9 speed manuals.
