Go to a truckstop and watch swift back in.
    Then do the opposite.
If swift isn't there, Pam will suffice.

Get out and look as often as you need to. Even if you have stopped traffic and people are yelling and honking. Their disdain isn't worth a damage claim. And that rhymed, lol.

If you can't do it, pull out of it, drive around again and try a different setup. A good setup is 95% of a good back. Backing takes a lot of practice to do consistently well, and you have to have lots of patience to succeed at it.

Formulas, to me, honestly, are a waste of time. Not every back you do in this industry is going to be the same size, shape or length. And you won't always be using the same equipment. The ability to understand how the vehicle reacts in reverse and being able to guide it deftly while it goes backwards, is way more important than memorizing positions.

For instance, a Freightliner Cascadia with it's set-back front axle and short wheelbase is going to back very differently from a Kenworth W900L. Being able to read how each vehicle moves is the key to backing it up.
