Car Hauling companies that train?

Can u explain. I always wonder about car hauling, lot of ducking under cars to strap? Tight areas?

 

From my experience there's that, and things like climbing on top of trailers at precarious angles and positions. And God help you if you're running an older trailer with some of the nonskid worn off; nothing like trying to load a car on the top rack on a wet day just to have it spin out halfway up. If you don't catch it in enough time you'll slide right off that trailer.

It's even more unnerving when you have to load the vehicle in reverse.

You get used to it after a while, but it's still a pain in the neck from time to time. For me the biggest pain has got to be finding a place to load/unload. A lot of these dealerships were built with little to no thought as to where the trucks are supposed to park and do our jobs.That's why you always see us taking up turn lanes and such. Remember that car hauler earlier this year in FL, the one who got dismembered when a car drove right up his trailer ramps while not paying attention? I recently had to load from that very same dealership a month ago: there's no way to pull into the tiny lot, and there's not even a turn lane you can duck into. You end up having to park it right there in a travel lane, right in front of the dealership. I wear a reflective vest every time I load on the street, but that won't protect you from some 4-wheeler with his head in his smartphone instead of his eyes on the road.

Yeah, I made quick work of that load...

I can tell you usal wants 2 years experience tractor trailer before they will train you. Hansen is similar I believe. Learning car hauling and driving at same time will be an up hill battle. I would recommend getting some class a time under your belt first.
