    Hey i was wondering if anyone knew if their were changes done in the ISX motor that made it better from 2014 to today. Im asking is because im considering buying a 2014 KW 660 with an ISX15 but was curious when they made changes in those motors.

    In the summer of 2015 cummins added liner antipolishing rings due to piston carbon packing issues.

    I am warning everyone, to avoid 2010 to 2013 ISX engines, because they (could) have 152 mm liners. I am finding many of those counterbores cracked. Some are cracked so badly, that a chunk of cast iron broke off of the counterbore. If you have one that is cracked, I have .090" and .116" S/S shims that will probably salvage your block. 2014 engine should not have that problem.
