My ac went out this morning after working perfectly fine since I got the truck 3 weeks ago.

I called my DM n told her I would go ahead n finish this dispatch(big mistake). Now I'm at a truck stop in a hot as truck with a pos fan keeping me "cool"

I called atleast 3 dispatcher, a planner n an on road guy. After telling them each what my issue was I was ultimately told to hang tight n they would dispatch me to the nearest terminal. I check my Qualcomm n I get a dispatch going to North Carolina saying I can stop by the Memphis terminal on the way to get my TRAILER looked at. Lol smh

It was so hot in my truck today I was barely able to drive from Mississippi to Arkansas without taking several breaks n having heat flashes. I doubt I'll get any real sleep tonight.

They already put me on the load going to North Carolina. My question is I called n called for help. Can I jus pull up at the terminal in Memphis n tell them I'm not driving until the a/c is fixed

You could , as having no ac affects your sleeping which could result into driving unsafe.

I would..... You are at a terminal and they can dispatch that load with someone else while you wait for your tractor to get fixed.

Or if it one of THOSE companies... I would get as close to home first.

Then I would. I don't think Swift would fire you for taking a stand on getting your tractor fixed. Also, ask if you can use a different tractor to deliver load while they fix your A/C.

Yup - pull in to Memphis, have them fix the AC. If they have a problem they can repower your load.

I ran GA to MO the other week with no AC, it's not fun. Used motels at night to rest properly.

But the boss said I had to deliver my freight like a good boy and opt for cheaper repairs at the main terminal.

    (Boss=Me, main terminal=home)

You can do anything you want.

Now if you cant drive with your windows down from Mississippi To Arkansas without having some sort of flashing issue I'm doubting you're cut out to do much more then set behind a counter or spend some time hanging out on a couch.

You chose Swift. The bottom of the bottom. What else would you expect from them?
