If its a cheap motel, it comes with the territory -- crank the AC to its noisiest setting and turn the tv up!

I stayed at a place in Haines Junction YT Canda a few years back. The heating system was all tied together. I could hear everything anyone said 5 rooms down. I really didn't want to hear any of it. I was staying in a Holiday Inn in Columbia MO one time and the group that was keeping me awake were all retired and living it up. Here I am at 23 years old and a group of 70 year olds are awake later than I was.

Texans ain't hill billys, that's in arkansas and west virginia, you must be from Michigan. I'm from texas, I would just knock on their door and tell them to pipe down

I have a buddy who told me a story from years back when he lived in an apartment. He said his neighbors would always fight and keep them up all night. He decided to go over there and ask them to calm it down. He knocked on the door, dude opened the door and asked, "What the effe do you want?" Didn't go over with my buddy too well so he punched through the screen door, grabbed him by the throat, pulled him out to the front yard and told him he best not hear another peep from their apartment.

While that solved his problem, I am not sure that would work here.

I was driving through nacogdoches in my car about 1980, needed a room about 11pm
    Found one for 13 bucks
The lights wouldn't come on in the room.
Oh well, I was tired. Layed down on the bed, went to sleep.
Woke up a couple hours later freezing from a strong cold wind.
Got under the covers and went back to sleep.
Woke up on the morning and rolled over.
There was a hole in the wall I could walk through, and did! Right into the field behind the motel.
Just glad I didn't get snake bit.

That's why I always opt for the truck. I enjoy counting the semis roll by me as I try to fall asleep. Usually get to 7 or 8 and I'm out.

I reject the idea that they are hillbilly's that do this though. Cause I'm part hillbilly, and it's the good part. Me and my cousins might rebuild the transmission in the room, but we would be considerate to our neighbors while we do it.
