Hello everyone. So im closing in on a T660 KW and was wondering if anyone knew any decent jobs on the owner op side. I was going to put it on with the conpany in on but currently they have a hiring freeze. I would perfer to stay in dry van or reefer. Also perecentage jobs would be nice. Ive already checked Schneider and Landstar. I live in Georgia. Thanks in advance.

Check Cardinal Logistics. Don't know about pay though; you'll have to ask.
Trailer Transit is all owner ops. They pay 50% in advance on each run.

There are so many factors when deciding/choosing an o/o gig:
    Driver qualifications (impacts insurance costs)
    Truck being used--tires--maintenance.
    Areas operated
    Experience on ice/snow
Have enough working capital to operate when break downs occur
    Home time---staying out
Running alone, with friends, with wife, girlfriend...etc
Are you a daytime or nighttime driver?
Do you have commitments at home [ kids or elderly parents] that will impact your budget if you can't run a particular week
Owner operating is a profession that requires the operator to make good decisions that aren't always based on what "looks good".... you will eventually be in a situation where you are forced to "be on the safe side" than chance something that might impact your customer(s)

    Best of luck.

We are all different, with different needs and baggage. What might be great for one driver may not be a fit for another. You can only research and gather as much info as possible, find those drivers on the road and ask questions. Even then remember it's just their opinion and what happened with them. Some people hate everything even when it's good. It isn't easy to find the perfect fit, you have to adjust and smile......

I you get a chain, you can pull atms out of the ground. That pays $40,000 a night until you get caught.

See I learned stuff in prison.

I'm an owner operator out of Detroit area. Not happy with my current broker. I'm being nickle and dimed to death which isn't leaving enough money to make it worth while. Any suggestions on good Brokers in my area. Or hell, any area
