There is nothing wrong with seeing that this is not the career for you, (or even long time job,) and moving on. It just makes sense. But what doesn't make any sense at all to me, are the cry-babys that are always complaining about this job, but refuse to move on. Guess they just like to piss and moan.

 

I like to moan when I piss. Does that count?

 

We row a similar boat. I've been at it less than a year. OTR is not in my long term future.

I hated living out of the truck and got a local/regional job with the same company. Can't wait to go into work tomorrow. Been at this 18 months now. I understand where you are coming from. Try to persevere and perhaps a new direction in the industry might be a benefit.

I don't think Don was disparaging you, Diesel. Only noting that there are folks who gripe, excessively.... exhaustively, ad infinitum, forever about their loathe for the job they do... but never take the steps to make a change.

You sound like you're ready to make a change. Put your will behind it; it'll happen...... I also suggest you lay off swilling your urine. Switch to beer - kindred taste (Im thinking malt liquor) plus the benefit of intoxication.
