    By now you must be getting a real hatred for dump trucks and the like...I know how you feel...to bad with all the technology they can't come up with break resistant windshields. ..oh wait that would hurt the windshield industry. .
    I bet someone may have invented something like that already and they were paid off....of course they'd prolly cost a fortune like bullet proof glass

    Yep, just like the stories going around back in the '70's about how all these inventors had invented inventions to make our cars get a gazzilon miles per gallon, and how the oil companies had either bought them out, or had them rubbed out.........

    What the DOT should do is pull in these rock haulers and dump trucks and road side inspections , and check it out for rock crap being thrown at us now and then. Had a low boy pass me out west like 2 years ago, geared way down when I saw all the crap on that deck coming off, pissed ya off . ..lazy lazy...no excuse for it...cover the crap up if you can't sweep your deck off!!!

    a white pick up passed, moved over in the same lane as i but a bit close, flat bed dually in front of the white pick up slowed down to take an exit, I slowed some and the white pick moved back over a lane after passing a vehicle not moving fast enough for em.

    usually I can see what's heading for the windshield, at the same time the above happened I rolled under a bridge, the rock appeared to come from the sky, I looked back to see if a pedestrian was on the bridge when i had view, no one was there. perhaps a vehical traveling on the bridge kicked it up and over?
