Can anyone fill me in on the folding bike craze. I am looking into purchasing one for use on the road, however, if I can get some use out of it while I am still in school, that would be cool too. Therefore, I am interesting in buying a bike with multiple gears (for dirt trails with inclines) and twenty-six inch tires. My main, #1 question, is: Are the bigger 26 inch tire mountain-bike folding bikes still good to take on the road, or is the general consensus that the 26 inch tires are too large for a truck cab/sleeper? I cant even imagine where I would keep the smaller 20 inch folding bikes, so I am weary of the 26 inch models.....
I am really just interested in hearing from anyone that does keep a folding bike! Thank you in advanced!

I have a Montague paratrooper folding bike
Black, without the tire flap and rack in the back. It big and barely sit in my passenger seat. It's getting cold now so it sits in the garageWeeezerd and Lucy in the Sky Thank this. -
I had a bike but it didn't fold.
I threw it out after awhile because it was always in the way on the top bunk.
Hardest part is getting it in the cab and past the seats. (KW)
....I know right. Have a hard enough time side scootin myself thru there xDWeeezerd Thanks this. -
Thank You all. So the 26 inch tire bikes are sometimes taken otr huh? usually kept in front passengers seat or top bunk. This has been very helpful.
Also, thank you for the opinion steel tiger but I will respectfully disagree. if you are right, then I will concede at that time. screw that thought path though. -
I think i am going to compromise right down the middle and get a 20 inch tire folding bike that has multiple gears, that way i'll have the best of both worlds
