PTL's trucks are not good. I would have to strenuously disagree with you there. Having driving everything from the 16300's up to the 20100's, the only truck I drove for them that I liked was the one they wouldn't let me keep.

I left PTL after a measly 4 months. They couldn't decide how to pay for NE runs at the time. And when I asked about that, they cut my mileage, bad. So, I left and went to Ozark Motor Lines out of Memphis, Tn. I left the industry after 9 months because of my wife soloing 3 young children.
I reentered the industry last April. I gave PTL a chance, but their mandatory training and teaming made me not consider them at all. I ended up where I am now, at Abilene Motor Express. -

Abilene does have cameras and no APUs. We have o/o spec'd trucks that are autos and they cycle the out in 4 to 5 years. Cameras are not as big of an issue as I expected. Don't brake hard or slam the kingpin or dock and you will rarely see the red light that it's filming. I'll link you to our VERY informative thread. Use it if you wish.

My sister drives a truck for PTL, she went back to work after her husband died unexpectedly. She got into a program where she leases a truck through PTL and another company. She was promised that each week she would make at least $2900/ which doesn't happen. Since August she has more often than naught gotten $0 pay (after they take out all the fees each week) She then has to ask for $25.00 at a time so that she can eat! She has never had any type of ticket and there is nothing on her DAP. Last week she went to deliver a load and it was rejected because the trailer was in such bad shape. She was sent to a yard, her dispatcher said he was getting another appointment for her to deliver with another trailer. She sent messages thru the qualcom and called Thursday and Friday her dispatcher told her that they were rescheduling and would get back to her. Nothing. Then after she requested info several times to no avail, then on Saturday the weekend dispatcher told her the same thing. This morning she was asked why she didn't deliver???? I am not in the trucking industry but after reading everyone's comments here I truly think all of you should contact an attorney.

But I'm going to orientation with a open mind and if I don't like what I see and hear I will excuse my self. Looking to get with a company with a lil honesty
