    If you work for us xpress and have any situation that requires fleet managers attention on the weekend be ready to wait until Monday to get an answer, those weekend employees do not want to work they just want a pay check for free, so try to get a good and long load on Friday so you don't have to deal with them

    Same story with Werner. I personally try not to even deal with my primary dispatcher. Give me an assignment; leave me alone. Get me home near when I ask and we won't have any trouble.

    I used to be a weekend fleet manager for Jb Hunt, to be honest I gave my drivers priority, all other drivers I still helped but the regional guys had it the worst (my hands were mostly tied trying to help those guys)

    Brass locknut Bronze.... now let's see which nut do I crack first. Oh the ### who gave me a 40 mile haul to sit and deliver on tuesday morning, completely destroying any chance at a profitable week.

    Those are the ones I usually quit back in the day.

    I hate shag runs. Especially 'practical mile' shag runs.... and ESPECIALLY 'practical mile' shag runs to a grocery warehouse. Indianapolis to Indianapolis: 0 practical miles. 6 hours for the slowest lumper on God's Green Earth to unload you. Here's 20 bucks...... #### you.

    Fire the weekend disp. and let only the responsible drivers make their own decisions, ..ever seen that movie zombies..lol....I to try and make sure my load over the weekend is covered no later than Friday morning or at times Thursday afternoon.
