Sounds good in theory...but unfortunately, in this industry, and with these bottom feeder companies, makes absolutely no difference what-so-ever what they tell you and/or what they put in writing. They do and say what they want, because they get away with it.

Question for Ya @dhand23, U have been though the CRE Experience and ended up with a less than desireable DAC causing U to feel U have no option but WE. Is it true that U abandoned the truck under load? If not, why are U not contesting it instead accepting it and signing up with another less than desireable company.

    Ur thoughts please

I absolutely did not abandon my truck, I think....

I brought it to a yard in NJ (where I'm from) but CRE said I needed to bring the truck to their home terminal in Utah. I was in NJ at the time and refused to drive that far. I brought it to the yard in NJ and told them that's the best I could do. They told me they'd put abandonment on my report but at the time I really didn't care.

So why don't U fight the abandonment charge or at least do Urself a favor and knock on doors in Ur home (NJ?) area instead of accepting Ur fate and signing on with a company with a BAD REP and one U ultimately won't enjoy working for?

There are other choices available to Ya other than these Mega Companies!
But U may have to do a bit of legwork to find em, good chance Ur efforts would be rewarded though

Very true, my situation is a little complicated though. I am from new jersey but I live in michigan currently...(long story). When I quit CRE I did do some leg work and got hired on by a local company called C-MAC trans. That company was great and I was bringing home on average 700 a week with only 3 months experience at the time. I even got promoted to a switcher position, but I quit for my own personal reasons. I'm trying to move back east but I have an eviction on my credit (also not my fault!) Which is making finding work in NJ hard because no one will rent to me lol. I decided OTR is my best option because A.) I do miss OTR and B.) No rent to pay. These mega companies seem to be all the same, but I feel as though my options are very limited. Also, I wasn't aware you could dispute things on your DAC. I'm used to living paycheck to paycheck and "the man" getting over on me. Which is why I have the eviction on my credit, I have no money nor the time for court or any disputes. I need work and a paycheck for at least a little while ya know?

Yes you absolutely can dispute your DAC - and folks on here can help you.

You'll have to open your mind a little and bear with me here, but I sense an underlying current with you that events occur where you feel you have not been in control of them. Life is tough, the system is weighted - but sometimes you just have to take responsibility , and - fight smarter and harder.

    Good luck -

Well said @blairandgretchen ! The Op doesn't need to just bend over and take it, there are other options and choices.
