This is what they did went and put the boot on all 5 trucks and put a green sticker on your mirror and tell you to call this number . After they tell you about the signs and you are not allowed to park there. So I called the number and the guy gets smart with me. Soooo I have just been woken up and told I have to pay $500 to get the boot off. Was not very happy. I sit there for a minute trying to let it compute. I see the other truckers going into Walmart to get money. My first thought was to call the cops, which I wish I did. I thought the cops would just back these people up. While all this is happening the kid that put the boots on the truck is sitting in his car. So I called my company they efs me the money which they take t checks and com checks. So I'm sitting there for a minute and the kid tells me if I don't leave he will put the boot on again. That company just made $2500 in 30 minutes worth of work

I think I'd have to just stand there and wait for his alligator mouth to overload his canary butt.Last edited: Aug 11, 2016

Seems to me that's an enterprising fellow there. Who's to say he's working for the company, the real estate owner, or any towing company mentioned on the sign? A decent printer, some stickers,a few boots and a toll free number forwarded to your cell, sit in your car, boot trucks, collect, leave before anyone legitimate or authoritative gets there.
That to me is an outstanding example of a hustle.Rusty Trawler Thanks this. -
All these "u need to plan better" speeches. Sometimes my trip can change multiple times a day. Or get thrown loads last minute before the office folks leave. Hard to trip plan
Also all the folks that act like they have never parked next to a no truck parking sign...I don't believe u. Most of the time a Wal mart with a no trucks sign is fine to park at. There's a wally with the no trucks sign up in Macon, mo. Right next door is a wally dc. There is usually about 50 trucks parked there every night. On either side of the parking lot lined up just lik at a truck stopTrucker61016, Edjahman and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I had 11 minutes left when I pulled into Haines City Florida Pilot other evening. Place was overpacked with trucks. I saw they had a cone in front of one of the fuel islands and parked there. Golf Cart Cowboy comes swinging around full speed 3 miles per hour to kick me out of there. So I had to use my last 11 minutes to go down to the Walmart and park under the big No Truck Parking sign. 8 hours later I limp back to the Pilot and see 2 trucks parked at the cone fuel pump SMDH

I use to park at our local WM overnight every night and a couple of others too plus there were regulars that were OTR that would come in every week or so and be there a couple of days then our town passed an ordinance to where we couldn't park anymore.
If I owned a store with a big parking lot I wouldn't let anybody park there either, even though I use to be a driver, just for the simple fact of not having to clean up leaks from the trucks and trailers, bags of trash, bottles of piss, and people crapping anywhere they can get away with it.
At one time or another I have seen all of this at our WM parking lot. We still get drivers that come in and shop I guess and can't help but leave something behind.Pharroh336 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
