I drive 2013 KW T660 and when full tanks and loaded with 47K my steer axle is ~12200. I'd really like to add ali arc bumper and would like to lighten up front end somehow. I know bumper weighs around 260-300lbs.
I know that factory plastic bumper will be taken off but I don't think it weights more than 40lbs or so.

Where is your 5th wheel slide set at? If it's front of center of the drive tandems, chances are good you can slide back a hole or two to lighten the steers [when loaded heavy]. The further ahead of center the fifth wheel is, the more cargo weight will be distributed to the steers. But I can not recommend ever setting it behind the center point.

Usually this can be shifted to find the "sweet spot" that keeps your steer axle at a comfortable weight, when there is 34k on the drives and your fuel level is where you like (full probably). Once you find that spot, don't fool with it any more outside of modifications as you're attempting. But personally I would not worry about 12,400 or even 12,500 on my steers as a matter of routine. It gives you fudge room elsewhere, and CMV cops don't seem to mind 12,500 steers

Keep in mind, many fleet trucks today spread fuel weight about 50/50 between the drives and the steers. So, if you burn off 500 lbs of fuel, there's a good chance your steer is 250 lbs lighter more or less. With "hoods", this 50/50 rule of thumb is not so much the case, but it all depends on the tractor configuration.

Unfortunately my 5th wheel don't slide, its bolted on but does have adjustment holes so I can unbolt it and rebolt in different spot.

Actually Cummins is far better engine than MX garbage, all of our fleet trucks specced with Cummins. Only thing that is bad about them is all the emissions crap that is problematic, but thats with all new trucks nowadays.

Another thing to look at is I would buy 16 ply steer tires about $30-50 more per tire but you could go up to 14300 if your front axle permits it. My front axle is rated for 12500 but I haven't had any issues running up to 13k on the steers.

Scoot the driver seat back a few notches. Or, just run back to the bunk real quick as you cross the scale...

    You're Welcome.
