TDS in Denver sells them.
The down side, they rip and tear very quickly, Western Dist. gives them as an option to their drivers, ran Eisenhower with one two winters ago, the driver said they worked good, but, if you were in mixed snow/wet/dry, your speed on the dry was 5 mph or less, or they would rip apart.trees Thanks this. -
Those are common, actually have been for several years here in Alaska, most frequently noticeable on municipal and school buses, fire trucks and ambulances utilize them as well.

Actually per their website it says you can use them on dry roads but it a accelerates wear. Either way they meet wear standards set for chains.

Also Sapp Bros in Salt Lake City... is where I first saw them.

This is from 2 years ago?
I should note that the socks are only good to around 25MPH.
After that, they shred into fiber.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
We've used them. The company only guarantees them up to 20 mph (my coworker ran them at 25, but he said he wouldn't go beyond that). They can only be run on dry snow, if you drive them in wet snow, they will "float" off.

I actually seen them on another truck over Vail pass last year. He got stuck too while I kept on climbing hill with my chains on.Lepton1 Thanks this.
