Ye
Yes, however I dont run a apu. Just a inverter and bunk heater. -
Diesel isn't quite that heavy.
https://www.reference.com/science/much-gallon-diesel-fuel-weigh-933ae304663bfcc7x1Heavy Thanks this. -
water is heavy, at 8.lb/gal. using 10lb/gal makes for good trucker math. we had 700lbs free weight on a Tyson load, stuck in La Grande for a few days, didn't get dinged at the WA scale.
-
or you could have told them to short you the ice weight, so you'd be hauling legal and not have to worry at the scales
-
Your right.
I get paid by the ton and I was not loaded on a scale, Just loaded using my gauges. I was shooting for 79.5k but I got a new trailer a couple weeks ago and havent got it mastered quite yet. I couldve went back and dumped off 700lbs but would been a time consuming affair as I would of had to get in line. That combined with it being 37 degrees I did something my Dad told me to never do. I assumed it would melt off. -
Pulling 80k through the rockies in freezing rain doesn't even SOUND pleasant to me. Thank god I'm starting out in Dedicated. I do not envy you sir. But I do tip my hat to you.

Or gather firewood with a saw a mite. Light it. Wait a minute ding. Warmed. Go time.
