Just a FYI... some of the trailers have a sensor that tells them if your tails are open or closed. The 'lil birdy' is truly a tattle 'tail' lol

Anybody ever use the scales at Gaylord? Who/where do you pay? I've always just scaled at the nearest CAT scale, but after my $227 ticket in SD yesterday, I believe I'll be using the scales before I leave Gaylord from now on!

When you pull on to the scale, there is a machine in the wall of the building next to it. I believe it's $10 if paying with cash and $12 if paying with a card. I don't think it makes change on cash.

You park the truck and get out. There is a machine right outside where you swipe a card and it immediately prints your scale info. Bad thing is it doesn't give any payment info. But I haven't had any problems getting reimbursed for it.

    Ouch..
How over weight were you? Did you slide your tandems using the load suspension gauge?
At least there's no CSA points

You can park at that receiver overnight. Make sure you give yourself some extra time getting to that place steep hills and switchbacks getting there.

2 miles from delivery in the morning. Then 230 miles to my pick up that I will be about 8 or 9 hours late for. Then to Fridley. I am scheduled to be home on Friday. I will be about 3 hours short on my 70 from making it Thursday night. I hope it's a late Friday morning delivery or they send someone to swap with me enroute to Fridley.
