Probably one of these guys that always trying to sell round trips and get you to take a little less on the outbound then the inbound mysteriously disappears

Read MY post a little more carefully...it's NOT a fact of life that loads out of Florida pay crap. My best loads come out of Florida, admittedly I don't get em from YOU I get em from a broker that's not tryin to use me to cover his bottom line he treats em for exactly what they are, a load from point a to point b that he needs my best service on. And that's exactly what he gets.

And maybe you'll go a long way with real drivers when you get the word 'backhaul' out of your vocabulary. There's no such thing as a backhaul there are simply loads from here to there.

If I post a load from Orlando-NC for 1.25 a mile my phone will melt. I'm guessing there's more to the story of what you're doing for this broker than the scenario I laid out. Perhaps it's a plant load with a ton of drops?

Nope. Getting out of FL is the trucking companies problem. I'm super up front about that, and since I'm paying 2.50 a mile on 1200 miles to end in Orlando I'd say that's pretty fair.

Let's keep the insults down. I know people are passionate about this stuff but we can debate cleanly.

Just remember who's problem it is when you hire the truck that is held together by duct tape zip ties and a whole bunch of prayers when the load doesn't get there. But then again, trucking companies problem...right? You determining "that is pretty fair" irks me the wrong way. You aren't doing your fellow brokers any favors.

You know what's crazy? I have guys I haul for that take 10% and give me the rest. You know how much shopping around I do? Very little. Just enough to know they aren't bending me over. Never had an issue yet. I am glad I don't deal with people who claim they know what's best for me. Maybe I'm doing it all wrong.
